4D SPM File Support

3D Repo supports 4D Sequence playback, allowing you to add time sensitive Issues and Risks to your project. Here are the features covered in this article:

File Support

Currently 3D Repo supports Synchro .spm files. These can be generated in 3 ways:
  1. Synchro Desktop File Export
    1. In the Synchro desktop application, open the 4D model you wish to upload to 3D Repo
    2. Select File > Export > 3D
    3. When choosing a filename, select Synchro SPM (.spm) from the File Type dialog

    4. Under Export Mode, select Export Animation and select the dates from your Synchro programme you wish to use in 3D Repo
    5. Under Select Animation select the Animation sequence you want to upload. To upload the entire 4D sequence, select None
    6. Click Export to export you .spm file
    7. Upload to 3D Repo
  2. Synchro Link Desktop Tool
    1. Load your Synchro .sp into the Synchro Link Desktop Application

    2. Select File > Export > SPM
    3. Specify any filters you wish to apply to your 4D Export and click Next
    4. Keep all elements selected for export, unless there is sensitive data you don’t want to share, then click Next again
  3. Synchro Link API
    1. Load you Synchro .sp into the Synchro Link Desktop Application
    2. Create your Synchro SPM (.spm) by using the /spm/publish/begin endpoint
    3. Access your new .spm file by using the /spm/publish/download endpoint
    4. Upload to 3D Repo using the Upload Model endpoint
