London, 16 January 2019 – Today 3D Repo, developers of a market leading, cloud based, Digital Construction Platform and Mission Room, creators of innovative 360° capture & visualisation solutions are delighted to announce a strategic partnership to help the industry better collaborate on digital infrastructure projects.
3D Repo and Mission Room are launching a new integration which will allow 3D Repo’s cloud solution to be used directly within any of Mission Room’s 360° visualisation products. This includes the latest Arena Display which allows multiple users to have a shared experience within a fully immersive 3×3 metre cube. Uniquely, the latest version of this visualisation solution also features touch enabled walls adding an innovative new dimension to shared immersion not seen in any other product previously.
Dr Jozef Dobos, CEO of 3D Repo said, “We are excited to work with Mission Room and we see their collaborative immersive environments as a natural extension to the way our users interact with 3D models. By placing multiple engineers into the centre of the design, they can work together more efficiently and communicate issues much more clearly.”
Dr Bryan Denby, Managing Director of Mission Room said, “When bringing new and innovative solutions to the market, we always look for partnerships that radically enhance the user experience. Working with 3D Repo adds a new dimension to our immersive displays and we know the new BIM & touchscreen capability will be of great value to our pool of existing infrastructure clients.”
With the latest version of the 3D Repo v3.0, users can access any of their 3D models directly from the cloud within any of Mission Room’s products. This ensures that the latest project information is always available and also allows for real-time collaboration regardless of location. Using 3D Repo and Mission Room, engineers can quickly run real-time co-ordination and review exercises within the shared environment for tasks such as data analysis, issue tracking, clash detection and model differencing. This combined platform supports all major Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Building Information Modelling (BIM) formats including IFC, Autodesk Revit and Navisworks as well as Bentley DGN among others making it suitable for all projects in the built environment including buildings, civils and infrastructure.
The first public demonstration of this newly launched collaboration will be at the next British Information Modelling event in London in late March where attendees will be given the chance to step inside the virtual BIM model for themselves. Further details of this will be released shortly but if you would like to receive a personal invitation or would prefer to set up a private demonstration please email:

Notes to Editors
3D Repo is a multi-award-winning company offering a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform for Building Information Modelling (BIM) in the cloud. Instead of architects, consultants and contractors sharing massive proprietary files in a costly and time-consuming manner, they can simply point their web browser to an encrypted knowledge base in order to examine each project stage virtually.
With 3D Repo, users can manage model revisions and highlight potential issues using live collaboration tools, which allow the whole project team to work from a single source of truth.
3D Repo also includes patent pending technology to identify real-time changes and clashes in 3D models. By comparing the actual geometry of a model rather than underlying, software specific object IDs or labels, 3D Diff Change Detection can identify changes between models from different sources. 3D Diff Clash Detection automatically highlights intersections, and therefore potential conflicts, between different types of models.
Mission Room develops and integrates technology and software to provide their customers with the ability to visualise complex projects and sites on immersive 360° displays. Allowing customers to virtually stand inside projects, collaborate cross functionally and review work safely. This enables efficiencies, saves times and dramatically reduces risk to employee safety.
Mission Room have focused on developing sophisticated yet easy to use solutions to a variety of real-world industrial problems. Mission Room Ltd has created its advantage from ground breaking research into simulation & data visualisation conducted at The University of Nottingham.
