About 3D Repo Ltd

3D Repo is a multi-award winning spin-off from Virtual Environments, Imaging and Visualisation at University College London backed by Sussex Place Ventures, a £30m VC fund fully owned by London Business School. The team has developed a cutting-edge SaaS platform, blurring the boundaries between 2D GIS and 3D BIM online. Instead of architects, consultants and contractors sharing massive proprietary files in a costly and time consuming manner, they can simply point their web browser to an encrypted online repository in order to examine all project stages virtually in 3D, even on mobile devices. Over the past 2 years, 3D Repo worked on several prestigious projects with blue chip companies such as ARUP, Balfour Beatty, British Telecom, Costain, Crossrail, Highways England, HP and SAP among others. 3D Repo has been named one of Top 20 UK Tech Innovators by Growth Business.

In 2014, 3D Repo won the MongoDB World Innovation Award, the UCL Bright Ideas Award and the Breakthrough Information Technology Exchange Award. In 2015, 3D Repo won Cognicity Challenge by Canary Wharf Group as well as Innovate UK, Horizon2020 and EIT Digital grants. In 2016, 3D Repo was shortlisted for the Best Investment in Disruptive Tech 2016 Awards by the UK Business Angels Association and won Highly Commended prize in the worldwide Information Technology Awards by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET). In 2017, 3D Repo won the Premier Award in Digital Innovation by the Chartered Institute of Building and was shortlisted for the British Construction Industry Awards in the Product Innovation category.
