BIM Models in Power BI

By 19th February 2021February 22nd, 2021Announcements

“BIM models straight from 3D Repo into Microsoft Power BI? Sure we can!” so says our Head of Digital Twins and Product Manager, Matthew Osment, who has been working on a new fully interactive Power BI custom visual, as pictured.

The new custom visual utilises 3D Repo’s open API and embeddable viewer (free to download here) and means you can pull your models from Revit, Navis, IFC, Civils 3D, Bentley DGN and many more, straight into your interactive dashboards to share with your colleagues.

From there, all of the meta-data such as issues, risks, and groups can be cross-referenced with your external data sources like specification documents, production status, or IoT data.

3D Repo’s open API allows users to access the wealth of data stored on 3D Repo’s servers, and there is a growing list of integrations including Opentext, Asite, Procore, Luminova, Dynamo, and of course Power BI to name a few.

Stay tuned over the next few weeks for a few different case studies on the topic. Continue reading about data democratisation here.

Hello! I couldn’t make this webinar, but I’m super interested in using this functionality. Is there a recording available for this?
