About this Event

Digital Construction Week’s Connect/Fringe series brings you the first-ever Virtual 3D Repo British Information Modelling event, bringing together some of the most innovative people in the AEC industry to talk about the latest technology and discuss the industry’s biggest issues.

As of late, the AEC industry has begun to demand better solutions that promote collaboration and enable everyone to freely exchange data across different applications and platforms, not a one-size-fits-all approach. In this webinar, you’ll hear about some of the most innovative collaborations and integrations pushing for real digital transformation in the industry.

Peter Kemp, Head of Change and Delivery, Planning, Greater London Authority, Greater London Authority (GLA)

Peter will talk about the development of a new 3D planning called PlanBase, which is an embeddable consultation tool where 3D data can be displayed cost-effectively and at real benefit to users who would not normally of understood or engaged in the planning process. The tool is scalable from a small planning application proposal to large scale site regeneration. It can even be scaled to Local Plan and strategic level consultation. Based around BIM this brings the use of this technology earlier in the RIBA stages of work.
